How Visiting Ramat Rachel is Becoming a Tour

Jerusalem is an amazing city with so many areas that one can explore. Years ago I had attended a wedding in the Simchah Hall at Ramat Rachel. The wedding was at night and it always fascinated me that here was a wedding taking place on a Kibbutz located in Jerusalem. Well on the outskirts of Jerusalem, but it’s essentially a Kibbutz within a city. Amazing, right?!

Sharing a Little of the Journey to Write Mezuzot

In a previous post, we shared some photographs of Mezuzah cases and mentioned the fact that my husband now writes Mezuzot. Being able to write a Mezuzah is actually an art with a tremendous amount of laws associated with every detail of the craft. From the parchment that the text is written on, to the specific quill used for the writing. The type of ink used to the formation of each letter, the details are numerous and the laws even more so. By laws I mean Torah laws of course.

Mishloach Manot that Bring Joy to Those in Need

The Megillat Esther Outlines a Beautiful Mitzvah

“…as the days when the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month that was reversed for them from grief to joy and from mourning to a festive day-to make them days of feasting and joy, and sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.” – Megillat Esther 9:22

Introducing a New Addition to Creations From Jerusalem Store

I am very excited to be introducing the start of our new range of T-shirts. Some years ago we discovered the potential and fun to print our photographs, artwork, designs and more on a range of products. We came across a company and added a number of products on our blog. The problem with the first company that we tried was that we had no way of knowing if an order came in and whether the order would be filled.
