Showing Our Support for Jerusalem Even from the Door Post

Mezuzah on door post

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, today we are going a little more indoors. I do have a lovely post related to the Jerusalem municipality’s efforts to enhance the beauty of Jerusalem. However, I got sidetracked at the front door. Or should I say a number of front doors.

From time to time I used to sell our books and fridge magnets by cold calling. On one adventure I was delighted to discover door after door that says such a powerful message. I could have put my selling aside and just gone about photographing all the Mezuzah covers.

As you can see, I held back just a tad and only captured 3 Mezuzah covers. It’s so heart warming to see the extent to which Jerusalemites love our special city so much that even their Mezuzah covers have a message of Jerusalem.

Have you heard about the Jerusalem stone? That special stone that is used in all buildings in Jerusalem? Well now you can find it on Mezuzah covers too.

Isn’t this special to see? It’s so much fun to focus on the beauty of Jerusalem. Would you love a special Mezuzah cover too? Please let us know as we are working towards selling some on our website. It would help so much to know what styles of Mezuzah covers you would prefer.

Remember, the Mezuzah itself is important too. In truth, it is even more important than the cover. So don’t stop at the Mezuzah cover. You can now order your Mezuzah written by our very own special Torah scribe. Rabbi Eliyahu Shear writes with Ashkenazi script. There are two options available, Beis Yosef and Ktav Ari.

If you wonder how an Ashkenazi Mezuzah can be called Beis Yosef, that is an excellent question. Why not sign up to learn with Rabbi Eliyahu. He will be happy to answer all your questions, related to Mezuzot, Beis Yosef or another Torah / Jewish topic of your choice.

If you like this photograph and the theme of this series of posts, please become a Patron. You can show your support with even just $1. Your tip can help me to continue sharing more of the beauty of Jerusalem.
